Theatre Connection

Theatre Connection gives children a chance to act on stage!

This workshop draws children in right from the start with theatre games and improvised scenes. Each workshop culminates in an original production!

After getting to know the child actors, our director writes a play with characters based on their individual talents and abilities. The children perform the original pay for their family, friends, and the community. We hold three sessions during the school year.

Theatre Connnection is for children ages 7 & up and meets at the Willow Glen Community Center (2175 Lincoln Avenue). We hold three sessions each season (Fall, Winter, Spring).

Summer Theatre Camp

WGCT Summer Theatre Camp was voted “Best Summer Camp” in The Mercury News’ Best of Silicon Valley 2009 Reader’ Choice Awards. The Merc touted the camp for providing an affordable, safe, fun and enriching experience for children.

Theatre Camp is a fun-filled four-week day camp (10am - 3pm) in which, children explore their creative sides with daily improvisation activities, working toward a final performance in the amphitheater at Willow Street Bramhall Park.

Fairytale Theatre

Fairytale theatre is a 6-week workshop for 3-5 year olds. Each session involves stories, skits and crafts. Let your child express his or her creativity in a fun environment through the magic of theatre!

Fairytale Theatre meets Saturday mornings at the Willow Glen Community Center from 10 to 11am. We offer four sessions this year (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer)

Afterschool Programs

Willow Glen Children's Theatre offers onsite programs in local elementary and middle schools. Currently, we are in residency at Booksin Elementary School. If you are interested in starting a program at your school, please email us at info@wgct.org.

 
Registration Information

Registration is easy! Just follow these easy steps.

  1. Online: go to the City of San Jose website (http://www.sanjoseca.gov/prns/cag/) and search for our programs.
  2. Mail: mail the registration form found in the City-Wide Activity Guide to the Willow Glen Community Center.
  3. In Person: visit the Willow Glen Community Center.
